At the end of the day, five delegates provided a brief summary and their perspectives on each of the five sessions and Chancellor Wrighton made his closing remarks.
In the video below, Wrighton noted the unprecedented attendance at the event—over 700 attendees (plus over 2,000 tuning in remotely). The chancellor ended the day of discovery and dialogue with gratitude to everyone who was committed to joining the conversation. He also acknowledged that the next step is transforming the conversation into action.
“Please recognize that with action comes responsibility. If we make a commitment, we need to make good on it,” said Wrighton.
He referenced some of the initiatives and programs that were already announced and called on everyone in the university community to apply their talent and dedication towards long term civic engagement.
