What’s happening on and around campus:
The grand jury’s decision was announced this evening at approximately 8:30 p.m. CST.

At about midnight, we received news reports of a police officer being shot in University City. Be assured that the incident was not in the vicinity of the Delmar Loop or university-owned apartments, including the Lofts student residence. The incident did not pose a security threat or require response from the university.

The FAA has issued a Temporary Flight Restriction affecting inbound flights into Lambert St. Louis International airport because of the situation in Ferguson. The airport is still open and the restriction does not impact departures. We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
Because of the unpredictability of what might transpire in the coming hours, we have decided to close our West Campus in downtown Clayton tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 25, until further notification.

For students who are traveling home for the Thanksgiving holiday, here is some important information:
- See above for information about flight restrictions at Lambert St. Louis airport. For updated information, visit http://www.flystl.com/.
- The university is providing a free airport shuttle on Wednesday (November 26) from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., departing every half hour on the half-hour from the Clocktower on the South 40.
- The university also has set up a shuttle from the Clocktower to the Big Bend MetroLink station, running every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Monday, (November 24), Tuesday (November 25), Saturday (November 29) and Sunday (November 30).
- A student-run business, “U-Shuttle,” will be running shuttles to the airport from the South 40 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (November 25). The cost is $10/ride and tickets available at u-shuttle.com.
- Taxis are available by calling County Cab at 314-993-TAXI (8294), Laclede Cab at 314-652-3456, or another local cab company.

“Talking Circles” gatherings for Danforth faculty and staff who would like to discuss the decision and what it means for them personally and the St. Louis region will take place from noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, and Wednesday, Nov. 26 in the Danforth University Center, Room 276.
